August 22 – September 1
Oregon’s amateur radio operators are welcome to use the callsign w7o and hand out commemorative QSOs during the period of August 22 – September 1.
In order to operate as w7o, you must:
- Operate from Oregon
- Sign up via email as an operator
- Sign up for band / mode / time slots via the sign-up spreadsheet
- Ensure that we don’t have multiple signals on the same band / mode at one time
- Be a good steward of the callsign
- No bad behavior will be tolerated – you all know what it is
- Understand the special rules regarding 1×1 calls
- For example, you have to give your own callsign once per hour
- Read through https://www.1x1callsigns.org/index.php/fcc-regulations
- Submit a log or logs in adif format to the coordinator(s)
- Keep track of what grid square and county you’re operating from
- This may necessitate multiple logs to be kept
- Have fun being hunted!
If you want to participate, please send an email to either (or both)
