Across Coos County and the region Hams are busy connecting via Radio. More…
Connecting via radio is great for person to person interaction as well as groups. Group connections that take place over radio are called ‘Nets.
Towers across the region host equipment like repeaters. These permit relaying VHF and UHF signals over long distances. As any Ham will attest, HF signals that travel long distances on their own are affected by space weather.
Part of being a Ham is learning the in’s and outs of legally operating within the limits of one’s license.
